And so, today marks the start of week 3, and review of album number 2, Maximo Park's "Our Earthly Pleasures". Hopefully, I will right the review and put it up tonight for your delectation.
Just been out to buy next weeks album. Difficuly choice, in what seems a lacklustre week for new music. It ended up being between Bloc Party's "A weekend in the city", The Gossips new one, and LCD soundsystem "the sound of silver". The result was the latter. It's going in the player now...

What it's about
52 Weeks, 52 Albums... is pretty self explanatory. Every week, for a year, I will buy/gain ownership of an album. Then I will review it on here.
Why? Because I love music. And to encourage me to listen to more music. But also to listen to stuff I might not normally.
1 Key point to note: This isn't a "challenge". I won't "Fail" if I miss a week for some reason. IT's just a nice idea, which I will try to keep to.
Also, this isn't exclusively for the 52 albums. I will make a big song and dance about them, but i'll post other bits and pieces on here too.
All I ask is if you read the site, please can you comment. It brings sanity to know someone is out there, reading.
Any MP3s on this site are only links to where they are already posted on the net, where they are given away by the band, or where the bands permission has been given. If you like a band or song, support them and buy their music. Tracks on here are meant to be used as a sampler.
I will remove any links at the request of the artist/label.

I think you chose the right one to get. Bloc Party are fucking gay, and the Gossip are just as bad...
I heard the new Maximo single on friday by the way. It wasn't as shit as their previous work, but I still wouldn't buy it.
I'm getting really jaded at the moment, I wish I could share your enthusiasm. Still, I'm sure this Libertines reformation thing will make it all better *weeps*
